Every project is approached with clear communication, practical expertise, and a commitment to delivering results clients can feel confident about.

Thirty Years of Construction Behind the Equipment

Stuart brings more than 30 years of hands‑on construction, electrical, and facilities engineering experience to every project. His career began in Southern New Mexico, where he spent over a decade as a general builder and electrical contractor, operating his own contracting company from 2003 to 2013 and completing a wide range of residential and commercial projects.

In 2013, Stuart transitioned into large‑scale technical operations, moving overseas with Lockheed Martin as a Project Manager and Facility Manager, supporting construction and facilities engineering for mission‑critical environments. In 2017, he relocated to Ohio and later joined META, first as a Construction Project Manager and then as a Lead Facility Engineer, where he helped build, operate, and maintain hyperscale data centers.

Stuart’s background in land clearing, excavation, and equipment operation spans decades through work on his own farm, neighboring properties, and numerous real‑world projects. That experience led to the creation of Buckeye Land Clearing & Excavation Services, providing professional‑grade equipment and practical solutions to property owners across the region.

Today, Stuart owns and operates Sandia Construction, LLC and Buckeye Land Clearing & Excavation Services, where every job benefits from decades of construction knowledge, engineering expertise, and a hands‑on approach focused on doing the work right the first time.

How Our Land Clearing and Excavation Projects Work — Start to Finish

Free On-Site
Estimate

We walk the property with you, look at what is actually there — timber size, slope, wet ground, access — and talk through what you want the land to do when it is finished. You get a clear price with no obligation, and no charge for the visit. If financing makes the project easier, we go over those options at the same time.

Scope, Access & Permitting

We confirm the boundaries, mark anything staying, and locate utilities before a blade touches the ground. If your project needs a permit — a septic system, a drainage tie-in, a right-of-way — we tell you exactly what is required and who to file with. Nothing starts until you know the plan and the price.

Equipment
Mobilization

This is the work itself — cutting brush and trees, mulching the material back into the soil, pulling stumps, digging trenches, shaping drainage. You get the owner on the equipment for every hour of it, and a call at the end of each day if anything on site changes the plan.

Clearing, Mulching & Excavation

Final Grade, Cleanup & Walk-Through

We set the final grade so water runs where it should, clear the debris, and leave the site ready for whatever comes next — a builder, a seed drill, or a for-sale sign. Then we walk the property with you before the equipment goes on the trailer, so nothing is left unfinished or unsaid.

Why People Call Buckeye

Buckeye is built on more than 30 years of hands-on construction experience. Owner Stuart has worked in the construction industry for decades, including running his own electrical contracting company throughout the 2000s, bringing a level of knowledge and problem-solving that goes far beyond the age of the equipment. When you work with Buckeye, the person who visits your property to provide the estimate is the same person who completes the job, ensuring clear communication and consistent results from start to finish. Because the excavator, brush cutter, and mulcher are company-owned rather than rented, projects can be scheduled more flexibly without the pressure of rental deadlines affecting decisions on your property. Buckeye also understands that land improvement projects can be a significant investment, which is why financing options are available to help make the cost more manageable by allowing payments to be spread out over time.
